When I first started surveying in 1987, Craig Sperry was one of the first people I worked with out of the office. Since that time, I have been I have made hundreds of visits to the Juab County Recorders office and I have learned something new from Craig on almost every visit. Craig has always been very helpful when it came to retrieving legal documents and original survey data needed for a land survey. His knowledge and experience in Recording and filing documents has always impressed me.
In the last 23 years I have visited many Recorders' offices throughout Utah and in four other Western States. I have always come back to Nephi impressed with the knowledge, helpfulness and organization Craig Sperry has as Juab County Recorder. When a document is recorded, Craig always checks that document for errors to ensure the records are kept correct. Without his knowledge or experience in reading and understanding legal descriptions and documents, this could not be done.
Craig was instrumental in starting the Juab County Section Corner Restoration program. This program has restored and re-monumented hundreds of Section Corners throughout Juab County. These Corners are key to the location of property boundaries outside the City Block systems. With the implement of this program, it has saved hundreds of hours of survey work and therefore saved thousands of dollars for the people of this County that have had the need for a survey.
Experience and knowledge are a must to hold the office of County Recorder. Craig Sperry has both.
My vote is for Craig J. Sperry - Juab County Recorder.
