Craig Sperry is an amazing Recorder/Surveyor. His knowledge of land records is unsurpassed. This is a very detail oriented and complex job that takes years to learn.
Craig is always looking forward, trying to improve the county land records. We are scanned and indexed back to 1912 and under Craig’s leadership we will continue to scan and index old records until completion. We have all of our oldmaps and plats microfilmed, scanned and indexed for easy accessibility and preservation.
We are often told by Professional Land Men, (individuals who make their living searching land records for mineral exploration), that our records are some of the best around, not only in Utah, but other states as well. Craig has worked hard to organize them in a way that they are user friendly for anyone to come in and access. He is always thinking ahead for future improvements.
Craig has done an excellent job organizing surveys and section corner markers. They are easily accessed on the computer. This was accomplished mostly through the use of grant money that Craig acquired for the county.
Craig is very conscious about tax dollars and is careful with our budget, never going over.
WE NEED THE EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE CRAIG J. SPERRY BRINGS TO THE RECORDER/SURVEYOR’S OFFICE. We learn something new from him every day.
